Senior Session at Petite Jean
One of my favorite things about senior sessions in Central Arkansas are all of the amazing locations. There are so many options! I absolutely love using locations with water. When Keely, a Greenbrier High Senior, and I met to talk about her senior session she mentioned how much she and her family love hiking at Petite Jean Mountain in Morrilton, Arkansas. I was totally sold from that point on! The hike to the waterfall is beautiful and has so many possibilities for pictures! Keely was absolutely fearless when it came to moving across the slippery rocks.
When we finally made it all the way in to the waterfall it was magical! Keely has such a fantastic confidence about her that really comes across in her photos. She is beautiful inside and out and that quality really allows her to shine!
While I LOVE all of Keely's images, my favorite are the ones that we took at the end. It was getting really dark quickly, but we decided to move closer to the waterfall. I am really use to using my gear in the water, but I neglected to consider that waterfalls have a mist that splashes up. My poor camera got more water on it than any photographer would be comfortable with, but there was no way I was going to hike all the way out without capturing the images I had envisioned! I literally jumped up, and down when I saw these images on my computer later that night. Keely is absolutely stunning!
I love the drama and moodiness that the dark water brought to the image! Keely is such an AMAZING model, and didn't mind getting her gorgeous dress just a tad muddy.I am so grateful that Rebecca, and Shaun trusted me with capturing this incredibly important time in their daughter's life!
